Daniel is an experienced piano teacher and chamber music coach. He is Head of Performance at Junior Academy (Royal Academy of Music), having spent an enjoyable decade as Head of Piano in Chamber Music at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. He has also held positions at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and University of Bristol, and has been invited to give masterclasses at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, Oxford and Cambridge Universities.

 

For many years, Daniel has teamed up with musicologist and broadcaster Richard Wigmore to present a series of musical House Parties and online study events, focussing on music from all corners of the repertoire. Daniel runs his own summer course for young chamber ensembles as part of the Wye Valey Festival.

Daniel studied at Wells Cathedral School, the Royal College of Music and Guildhall School with Hilary Coates, Irina Zaritskaya and Paul Roberts. He then went on to take classes with Gyorgy Sebok, Ferenc Rados and Andras Keller at IMS Prussia Cove and in London.

Daniel's students are to be found performing throughout the musical world. He teaches a small number of private students at his London home.
